Hello, my beauties!! How is everyones week going so far? It's been so sunny here that I had to go out and buy a pair of capris so I could sun myself. See, I've gained a bit of weight this past year (while I've been off work) and I don't own any shorts, skirts or capris that fit anymore. It's been making for one hot Momma!
But you don't care about that one bit, do you? You want me to get to the challenge!!! I know that you do!! You want to know what this crazy momma watches on television. I know, I know. I'm fascinating!! So here goes.
Day 01 — A recent picture and 15 facts about you
Day 02 — Favourite movies
Day 03 — Favourite TV shows
To pick my favourite tv show of all time is easy. I watch her every single day and I try to never miss an episode! If you've been reading my blog for awhile, you will know that I watch this show for real life reasons, not just mindless fodder. I watch this show because she makes me laugh and I honestly believe her to be a good person. She makes me feel all warm and fuzzy when I watch her (and get your mind outta the gutters!!!!) If you haven't figured it out yet, it's Ellen!!
A very close second to Ellen, is definitely Fringe.
I love the mystery, the characters, the funny little quirks. I love the strange story lines and I love that Walter never gets Astrids name right! LOVE IT!!! I love Leonard Nimoy in the show. I love the love affair between Olivia and Peter and I love that they are finally together. I can't wait til next year to see what happens next! I've been watching it from the very beginning and I will watch it till they take it off the air!
I'm also a big fan of The Mentalist. I love Simon Baker, who plays Patrick Jane. I love that in real life, he has a sexy accent! I love the sexy hair. I love that he's such a shit disturber most of the time. I love the sexual tension with Theresa! And I can't wait to see if we've seen the real Red John or not! Can't wait.
I'm a big CSI fan as well. I am mostly a fan of Las Vegas, but I've watched many a Miami and New York as well. I enjoyed LV most this year with the addition of Laurence Fishburne, who I've always thought was awesome. He made a fantastic addition after Gil left. I like having Sarah back, but my favourite character is definitely Nicky. Love him!
For my comedy fix, it's 100% Big Bang Theory! I think this is the funniest show on television. I've always been a sucker for nerds (not you, baby!). I always hung out with nerds, dated nerds, had nerdy friends. So of course a show about nerds cracks me up! Sheldon is just ridiculous. I have to appreciate his OCD as it makes me feel so much better about my own. And I love the Sheldon/Amy thing; Shamy! Absolutely hysterical!
I don't watch too much reality television. My MIL is a big fan of American Idol and Dancing with the Stars, so I got stuck watching it this year (as she lives with us). I do like America's Got Talent and Survivor. I have been watching Survivor and AGT since they started and it will probably stay that way. My favourite AGT star of all time is Eli Mattson and I will forever be bitter that he didn't win. Google him and you will not be disappointed. I love Howie Mandel. I think he's hilarious. His germaphobia gives me the giggles. I thought I had it bad!
Lastly, a show that is no longer on the air that I truly enjoyed is Lie to Me. In the beginning of Lie To Me, I had a hard time watching. I saw Tim Roth in Rob Roy and I hated his guts. It was hard to learn to love the guy in LTM, but I did it. I was rooting for him at the end. I wanted him to get the girl and be happy. But they took it off the air and I'm horribly miserable about it.
Well, I think that's it. Were you surprised?? Did you think I would like something else? Maybe you thought I watched Big Brother or All My Children?? I'm not even a big daytime television fan, though I'm home all day. I sit and watch a bit of HGTV during the day, like House Hunters, but that's about it. I'd rather read a book or play on Facebook than watch tv.
That's it, girls and boys. Sorry it's so late. I did say in the beginning that I didn't think I'd be able to do this every day. Wait til I go back to work! It'll be interesting.
Tomorrow shall be fun. It's my favourite subject....BOOKS!!!!

Ellen is a great way to start the day (though she is now moving to 4pm). She picks me up and makes me laugh. I like watching her have a good time on her show. Even if I've had a horrible nights sleep and I'm extra grumpy, I can turn on Ellen in the morning and she'll put a smile on my face. When I go back to work next week I will be PVR'ing my sweet, sweet Ellen so that I won't miss a single second of her fantasticness!! I LOVE ELLEN!
