I love my Garden. Every year I see it get bigger and bigger and it fills me with a certain kind of pride to know that I've done what I can to help it grow. This year my garden is lovelier than ever. There is only one small problem. This little f*cker is eating my lilies!
My MIL and I have been diligently killing every little red beetle that we see, but they are ferocious breeders! Yesterday we must've killed 10 of them, then today another dozen. We went over to my neighbours house and killed all the red beetles in his lilies as well. If we don't kill them, they just spread! Can you see the damage one of these things can do...
So not only are we battling the bunnies eating all the blooms, earwigs ruining my comfort zone in the back yard, but now I have to worry about red beetles eating all my lillies bare!! Grrrrrr. It's making me very angry!!

having same problem here! I had a lovely lily bloom the other day..took a pic of it at dusk as I was watering. it was gone by morning! I had killed a few while watering and could already see where they were munching.
ReplyDeletemy mom says put some regular dishsoap with water in a spray bottle, and spray the plants. will see if it works.
